Upgraded from 8.04 to 8.10 but still on 2.6.24

    Upgraded from 8.04 to 8.10 but still on 2.6.24

    A couple of weeks ago I upgraded from 8.04 to 8.10. A few problems flashed by as the process went on and the system now runs KDE4.1 and a lot of the other new stuff but it stills run the old core 2.6.24. I can´t even find the new 2.6.27 on the system and it boots as 8.04 on the Grub-menu.
    Does anyone know what I have missed?

    How did you upgrade? If you are running off of the 2.6.24 kernel, you aren't running Intrepid.

    This works: Kubuntu 8.04 to 8.10 Upgrade
    Windows no longer obstructs my view.

      I did follow that document but still I can´t find out what went wrong. And I can´t
      follow that guide again to make a new try upgrading over the Internet as the system can't find adept_manager anymore.
