    Difficult install

    Hello all,

I'm kinda new to the whole kubuntu thing and everything but I'm installing kubuntu more and more on computers that only need some surfing.

Here is my problem at the moment and i don't know exactly how to fix it,

I have an older laptop from which the CD-rom and floppy drive is broken. So i need antoher way to install Kubuntu. I already tried creating a Live Disk from unetboot and then plugging the laptop HDD back into the laptop but that doesn't work at all.

Is there any way that i can plug in the laptop HDD with USB to my own computer and then install Kubuntu to the laptop HDD AND that it will work in the laptop then?

There is a way to put Kubuntu on a usb pendrive then install from there.

    I hope this helps.

      Re: Difficult install

Thanks for the pendrive option but the laptop doesn't support USB startup

After some fiddling i discovered that de CD drive isn't broken it just won't open. When i need to insert a CD i need to unscrew the optical drive... put in the cd and put it right back into the laptop.

      installing as we speak!

      Thnx
