When trying to go in console mode hangs at "checking battery status"

Hi,

when I try to go in the console mode on the login screen, my computer hangs at "checking battery status"... but it is a desktop, has no battery... ?

Its no problem to login in KDE 4.1.

Anyone any idea I can stop this?

Uncheck "Desktop Effects" box.
