gparted live CD (google if you do not know what I am talking about) - boot it - delete the kubuntu partition(s) - expand the ubuntu one.

    Done.

Boot with Ubuntu, edit /boot/grub/menu.lst and remove the entry for Kubuntu.
You may need to reconfigure grub (not sure).

      Code:
      sudo dpkg-reconfigure grub
Finally, you can use any partition editor to free/delete partitions previously used by Kubuntu

Thanks Dorgendubal for raising the GRUB issue, Dorgendubal - which system did you install last, claudioo? Because the rule of thumb is that the last GRUB wins.

You need to reinstall Ubuntu's GRUB first (well, you could do it later as well, but would involve using SGD - which you may want to google anyway as it is a fantastic tool), then proceed as in my previous post.
