Why can't I see a file either downloaded or placed on the desktop ? The only way to see it is by using Dolphin

Well, that's because what you see "as the desktop" - that which has your wallpaper - isn't the desktop; it's a plasmoid.Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007

OHHH that's right I forgot ! ...takes a while for me sumtimes with new things
BTW...I also noticed the configurable handles to slide the taskbar completely invisible either to the left or to the right (for full screen view) are not there anymore. Maybe it's because it's plasmoid ?Comment
