in version 8.04, the display adapter drivers were automatically installed. How can I get Intrepid to identify the onboard VIA/S3 Unichrome Pro adapter ?

How does the 8.10 Live CD work on that system?
I would search on the VIA Unichrome Pro on this Forum and Ubuntu Forum. It seems like there was a thread about that adapter a couple of weeks ago, but I don't remember what the result of it was. -

Live works fine now that I am using the 64 bit version
Noticed that there is no adapter/display listed other than a "1280 x 1024 60Hz" as default...and I know this display works best @75Hz.
