    Login Screen [SOLVED]

Since I upgraded my login screen has changed from a KDE style with a list of user names to the Gnome with the user prompt. Can I get the KDE back?

Type in your password. Click on the Sessions icon and select KDE.

      Re: Login Screen

Sorry for the delay. I am running KDE for the session. I think I used the wrong terminology. It is the splash screen that comes up after booting up. It used to be a KDE splash screen with a list of recent users. You could select the name and type the password.

Since the upgrade the splash screen (immediately after boot up) is the typical Ubuntu with a field to enter the user name.

I like the KDE version. Can I get it back?

BTW, I tried the session type which only loaded the KDE session.

        At konsole, execute:
        Code:
        sudo dpkg-reconfigure kdm
That should ask for selecting the default display manager.
