After I successfully upgraded to 8.10 I was installing some software using apt-get. I noticed it said that I had some software installed that I no longer needed. I tried to remove the lengthy list of files as suggested. The process aborted but that's not the problem. I can't get Kubuntu to boot any more. It gives an error message saying it can't find KSMserver. I also have Gnome installed so I can boot into that but I'd rather use KDE. Any ideas how to fix my computer?
