    Stuck loading bluetooth service

    Hi everyone ,
first of all I've to say that I'm totally new to Linux. I downloaded the iso from www.kubuntu.org and burned it, I want to try it so I opted for the live install. It starts loading services till it arrives to bluetooth where it get stuck. I've already tried the safe video with F4 as I read in a post but it doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks folks.
    Peace & Love.

    Re: Stuck loading bluetooth service

    Just a guess:

"Bluetooth is currently broken for Kubuntu Intrepid due to a last minute upgrade of the bluez stack." (Bug 280997)

    http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/rele...ooth%20support
    https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...ce/+bug/280997

    This should be fixed ASAP.

But are you saying it won't boot due to getting stuck at the bluetooth? I have a bluetooth dongle and have seen no problems other than it not working...

Looks like an older system... how much RAM do you have?

          1 Gb

I thought that if I could run XP, which I can, I could also run Linux...

Btw I'm able to boot with Dyne:bolic, but I need a distro with a good support because, as I said, I'm totally new to Linux.

I don't know, I feel so frustrated...maybe I'm not tailored for the penguin

md5sum verified. CD burned with Nero burning rom 7.

I'm posting an image of what's inside the cd I burned

            Problem solved

I was able to boot after disconnecting all USB devices, now it's just a matter of identify which one was conflicting.

I've found the culprit! the Thomson SpeedTouch 330 USB ADSL modem.
