I've got a weird problem. Some of the icons/buttons in my new Kubuntu 8.10 install get replaced by the Linspire logo. One example is the back/forward buttons in dolphin. Also, the root folder is shown with KDE 3 folder icon and not the red KDE 4 icon. Also, the KDE start logo is now a back button from KDE 3 !!! I attached a screenshot.
This is a fresh install of Kubuntu 8.10, not an upgrade from 8.04. I have used KDE 4.1.2 on kubuntu 8.04 and openSUSE 11.0 and never had that problem. I should mention that in the new install I kept the home folder from the previous install (8.04 with KDE4.1.2) to keep my preferences for many applications (firefox, inkscape, ...). However before the install I deleted my former .kde4 and .kde folders to get the default Kubuntu desktop settings.
Does anybody have an idea about the origin of the problem ?
