please update libgpod version!

Hi,

The current version of libgpod has some trouble with sending cover art to the iPod.
That is; it does get transferred, but for each track separately (which isn't necessary, iTunes doesn't do this). This causes artwork to grow huge and take up about 10% of the space of the music!!
My 80G iPod is now a sad little 70G iPod
But seriously, it makes the cover-flow function useless because of the image loading times.

This is a known problem and it is fixed in the new svn version of libgpod.
Can someone please give an indication when this will be added to the ubuntu repository??

I would say most likely not in a normal repository, as Ubuntu have already gone past it's 'freeze' point.
Someone may create one in a ppa repo, but unless someone does.....

Alright, I would like to start one then.
But I need some help here, since I've never done this before.
And I only have a 64bit processor to create this for.
There must be other people out there using amarok with an ipod.

So, who wants to join?!?
