Re: Today's update - No Wireless....Anyone else!
I cannot say if the wireless still works or not because after logging in I think the desktop/kDE crashes. I see the message of some programme crashing but the whole monitor is white and nothing else is visible. I've done dpkg -reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg but it does not solve it. Will try and delete /.kde and see.

Re: Today's update - No Wireless....Anyone else!
My wireless gets disabled every time (well, most times) there's a kernel upgrade. The rt61 driver that's shipped doesn't work OOTB for me so after every kernel upgrade I download the cvs version of the serialmonkey's rt61 driver and install that.
Oh - and I have to uninstall knetworkmanager and modify /etc/network/interfaces to get it to work.
PITA but at least I know what needs doing!

Re: Today's update - No Wireless....Anyone else!
I just posted this suggestion in another thread.
Try pinning the kernel by following Rog's excellent instructions here: http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde...9271#msg109271
