Alternatively simply delete the whole ~/.kde folder and log in - again that should work (well, it did under KDE 3 )

It does under KDE 4 as well.

Wotcha,

afraid it doesn't for me on my laptop (still 8.04 on there with a botched up KDE4). Very confusing and I must be overlooking something, but don't know what!?
