wubi beta upgrade

Does anyone know if the upgrade process from hardy to the beta will work on a wubi installation? I've read that they are intending this to be possible with the final version but there's no specific mention of it in the upgrade instructions.

It should work. In case there are some problems, you could always convert it to a normal installation before doing the upgrade.

I've upgraded a wubi install once and hal stopped responding. It wasn't pretty but after some googling and praying to big byte out there I got it fixed.

My advice: do not wubi, go straight
