Ok here we go. Well with the latest build it appears that I am now able to go forth with the beta. It is currently fetching file 864 of 1088 with about 5 mins to go on the download. So wish me luck on this.

Good luck guys. Hope you don't end up with the login prompt problem like I did. :P

Just wanted to let everyone know that my upgrade last night went great. I only have one small issue and that is that I don't think that my video card drivers are working correctly yet. I have an ATI x1600 and when I try to go to restricted drivers and activate it, it just does nothing. I almost wonder if it would be worth it to download the iso and just do a fresh install since I upgraded from gutsy to hardy and now to intrepid. Any thoughts?

Thanks SnowHog I will give that a shot once I get back to the house. Been up here at my office all day trying to nurse a server back to good health. Oh the joys of being the on call for the week.

Man snowhog you are a genius that Envy script did the trick.

Well, you are very welcome, but I only pointed the way. Thanks must go to the developer/maintainer of that script, Alberto Milone.
