Hi All,
As you can see by the topic title, after 4 months of using 8.10, I got this error and couldn't load the OS. I added "rootdelay=120" to the end of the kernel line in /grub/menulst and it now boots. But if you have an X error, and try to fix it at boot, you are unable. Back to square one! You CAN'T load a live CD, either!Luckily, I have a dual boot w/ 8.04, so I've been editting it this way. After an upgrade on 3/18, this problem cropped up! Anyone know a work-around for this? Is it a kernel bug? Also, the boot time is absolutely horrendous now! The IDE detection takes forever! Any ideas out there
