Re: Notebook power managemenat once again

Powerdevil seems to be the power-management backend. You will know whether it is working or not by watching the messages you get when plugging in or unplugging the power adapter.

I use kpowersave to alter settings - to avoid conflicts, also ensure that guidance-power-manager is uninstalled.

Also do a search in adept to see if there are any modules available for your specific machine.

As I wrote, now it works nearly perfect. Only lid close action sometimes work and sometimes doesn't. I would appreciate if somebody has any idea what to do.

Re: Notebook power managemenat once again

I gave up with this lid closing.

But have another, more important problem. After hibernate to hdd when system is resumed it works for few moments and then freezes. Nothing works. ctrl + alt + F1 doesn't change console. Pushing CapsLock doesn't switch on/off led on keyboard. Laptop is completely dead. Only hard reset works.

I studied a lot of topics on forums in Internet, Tried do hibernate on file using 's2disk' and it still behaves the same. Hibernates ok but wake up doesn't work.

        Would somebody help?
