Hey guys,
I've tried searching the forum and wiki but found nothing that seemed like an answer to this issue:
installed kubuntu 64 bit from livecd i downloaded from the site yesterday. all drivers working well except for the video card. after installation on first boot, it prompts me to install the restricted driver. i install the one labeled "recommended" and restart.
effects in KDE work with a bit of glitchieness especially when resizing windows.
i fired up ioquake3 to test it out. set graphics to opengl and i get about 25 fps max.
not sure why.
core 2 duo 2.33ghz
2 gigs ram
pcie geforce 8600GTS
any ideas?
