    [closed] HP Scanjet 3110

I am looking for a relatively low priced USB flatbed scanner, that works with linux. HP suggested the Scanjet 3110, but I cannot find it on the SANE website, only the 3010, which is not in current production. Does anyone have the 3110 working, and if so, how well?
Alternative: any other recommendations for a USB scanner that works with SANE in the $100 range, that is in current production (meaning, can be ordered from Amazon, etc.)?

Unfortunately, my HP Scanjet 4010 does not work. Different chipset, entirely unsupported by SANE. That's why I want to make sure someone actually has it working before shelling out the $$.
Everything Epson I have found that does work, is out of production. USB, that is.

I gave up, and went with an epson v300. That is supported by the AVASYS drivers.
