problem with sound- usb phone selected on start up instead of sound card

Hi,
Ive just reinstalled kubuntu after a break and found that I have a problem of setting where I want the sound to come out of.

It seems to want to use the usb phone what I do in settings but if its unplugged when I boot the system then it goes to the normal sound card.

Is there a way I can leave the phone plugged in and not have it chosen by the system as the default speaker.
