Re: Kubuntu 8.10 64-bit running slow on my new laptop
Good news! I got the RESIUB to do something. But everything else is ****ed up now.Incem
I installed the envyng when booting from old kenrnel.
Then i rebooted to new kernel. Where the GUI was not loaded.
Stopped the xserver.
I gave command sudo envyng -t. In the list the latest driver was 177.82.
I installed it.
It didnt get the GUI running.
Then i rebooted to old kernel. Now it also could not load GUI and i was left to command line.
There definately is driver problem because i get some fuzzy colors and text kubuntu flashing occasionally.
I also tried to reinstall the 180.22 driver, it didnt help.
I hope somebody can help me because in last week i have been reisntalling end deleting Kubuntus and Ubuntus like 15 times. Thought that maybe this time ill try and fix it. If i dont get any help until morning, then its ok also ill just reinstall Kubuntu and dont do the updates and it should be ok.
In order not to reinstall the OS again i had to use LiveCD to get to the forum.
