KDE 4.1 Kcontrol Module

Im having a little problem with the Login Manager...
seems i have installed alot of themes from the "get themes" button but yet none of the ones i downloaded pops up on my theme control.

i found out where they were and tried installing them manually using the "install new theme" button but kdm reads them at none kde themes...any help

location of installed themes

root>usr>share>kde4>apps>kdm>themes

I am having the same problem. it looks like themes are stored in 2 different locations:
/usr/share/kde4/apps/kdm/themes
and
/usr/share/apps/kdm/themes

I am running Ubuntu/Kubuntu 8.10

Does anyone know how to resolve this?
