yesterday i bought a nice samsung r610as02 laptop with vista. The first thing i did (maybe not very smart) was burning intrepid ibex and reinstall the laptop with it.
The first problem i encountered was not able to boot from cd without acpi=off, same parameter i have to use for booting from my harddrive now.
After the installation i search on inet for a lot for the problems i now have, e.g. when i press the function key + whatever function the laptop reboots...
I ran a full update yesterday and I already entered a lot of entries in a lot of files in /etc/modprobe.d and even combined it is not a sollution.
Now, im not really sure what im doing, i suspect that it has al to do with acpi support? Which can be very useful to have.
Can somebody help me with this and if so, what info do you need?
