    Mounting Blackberry

    Trying to get my Blackberry (Storm with 16Gb SD card) connecting to Kubuntu 8.1 with no success. When I connect the USB I get the following in /var/log/syslog but no indication elsewhere that something has happened:

    I'm not familiar with the Storm but my 8120 needs to be in USB mass storage mode. When it's plugged in I click on the new devices panel icon and it is listed in there. Clicking on it will open it in Dolphin.

      Great. Found the option you mentioned on my Storm in Options > Memory

        You are welcome.

        So far as backing up and restoring your phone is concerned, you might be interested in this as an alternative to the supplied windows based Blackberry Software, although it might not work as your phone is so new. Worth a try though.
