    Problem with HP Elitebook 8530W

    Hi to all,
    I have a laptop HP Elitebook 8530W sice 3 days and I have installed Kubuntu 8.10.

    Configuration of my laptop:

    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T9400 (2.53 GHz, 6 MB L2 cache, 1066 MHz FSB)

    I have some problems with the HW:

    1)I have to disable ACPI on the boot if not the kernel hang up.

    2) The PC wan't switch off durind shut down

    3) I have an external 20" monito but I can't switch to the external one (VGA cable connected trough a docking station)

    4)Static IP LAN only possible using ifup and configuration file, doesn't work with networkmanager program

    5) WLAN: Networkmanager sometimes don't see the access point but if configured

    Do someone had the same problems and can help me ?

    Does your PC spit any errors when trying to shut down? Mine gives somethign about "halt: unable to iterate IDE device" or something like that. I currently have a bug report filed on that and am waiting a response.
