    Desktop Toolbar [SOLVED]

Ok, i got a problem. On the Tool bar with the time and date and k menu button and everything that i had including my shortcut links to amarok, firefox, and konquerer. i had a little box right next to my time and date that had my sound, internet connection, KDE wallet when i would sign in to unlock my wireless connection, and anything that i would minimize like Amarok and it would play in the background would go to that box, basically it is used for background programs to run while im doing something else. Well that is gone and my wife hasnt seen it in a while one morning i got on and the box wouldnt come up anymore, i can still get on the net obviously, but i cant get into my sound options or switch connections if i should ever plug my wired internet in, and i cant get to amarok when i run it because when i add music to it it always starts in the background so i cant access it to manage my playlist, because its no where to be found? Basically i can still use programs i normally do but when i minimize them off my desktop they completely disappear and i have to restart them to get to them back to my desktop, i also cant get my updates because my update icon was in that box

Right click next to clock and choose "Add applet to panel...". Then find "System tray" applet and add it. Also, why don't you use Alt+Tab to call minimized programs instead of restarting them?

      Re: Desktop Toolbar

This sure sounds similar to an issue I've had with KDE for a VERY LONG TIME:
      http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde...4292#msg104292

      Hope that helps.

      regards,
