    Konqueror as an FTP client

Until now, i've had no problems using Konqueror as an FTP client, a matter of typing the FTP address of my website, log in, then simply drag-and-drop whatever files i want to, but it doesn't work any longer.

I've installed the FireFTP plugin for Firefox, and it works perfectly, but i would prefer to use Konqueror.... i'm a lazy bugger and much prefer the drag-and-drop interface of Konqueror to the FireFTP interface. 8)

Could someone help me out with some suggestions, please?

    Edited to add:
Konqueror won't connect if i boot Mepis, either.

Odd, as I use Dolphin/konqueror for ftp all the time without problems for years. Never had an issue before.

Was it working for you before in Hardy?

Konqueror ftp works for me also. You might try starting konqueror from the command line and seeing what errors it gives when you try to connect to an ftp site.

Via the console, no errors in the console at all.

          Konqueror still reports:
          Message sent:
          Login using username=agedhippy and password=[hidden]
          Server replied:
          530 Login incorrect.
          Do you want to retry?

I had no problems with Kasablanca earlier, so the problem does seem to lay with Konqueror.
