Boot installed vista home from ubuntu hardy

Hello everyone, I have Vista home basic installed in C: drive. I installed Kubuntu 8.04 TLS hardy in another partition and installed virualbox. I have a vista installed iso image in a CD and when i use this with virtualbox in Ubuntu, its working and showing windows installer. But I want to run my already installed vista home basic from within Ubuntu using virtualbox. Please help me find the solution..

    Regards
    Nagasai A.

I was trying to do the same thing, but gave up on the end.
But I do have more or less a lot of links that can be useful for you.
It's not VirtualBox, but rather VM ware, but you can get vmplayer to play it.
How to convert physical Windows to VM
Also check VirtualBox forum for details how to do it on VirtualBox, but AFAIK it's very hard an lengthy process.
    Hope that helps.
You will need as much space for your VM as for your actual install there isn't anything that would just virtualize it from actual install.
And here's my post about same thing form some time ago: link
