Alright, I'm new. I've only had Hardy Heron for a few months, so for all intents and purposes, treat me like a newbie when suggesting possible solutions.
I work for Liveops, which is a work from home call center. Anyway, their program uses Java. You're supposed to use IE but I hate IE and I use Firefox and I'm using Kubuntu as my OS anyway. It was working fine until a few weeks ago. Now, whenever I try to run the chat window it gives me an error message:
couldn't initialize tubesock: Unable to communicate with applet after 5 attempts
I have un-installed and re-installed Java several times, cleaned my cookies, cleaned my cache....nothing works.
I tried connecting to the program on my friend's Win XP computer. Firefox still pulls up the same error but IE worked fine, so I'm thinking the problem lies somewhere in Firefox. I have the latest version of Firefox installed.
Help!!
