I'm a bit new to Kubuntu and was delighted to find an enormous amount of documentation in /usr/share/doc. Of particular interest was the extensive amount of material contained in
/usr/share/doc/kde/HTML/... I even deduced that HTML referred to the standard referred to as hyper-text markup language that is widely used on the Internet. However, this content contains extensive use of the term "help://" in the context where "http://" might be expected. While it seems that Konqueror can handle this markup other browsers do not.
I would really like to serve such material with a HTTP Server (e.g., apache) so that it could be viewed with other devices that do not have Konqueror. Furthermore such capability is the essence of what I expected to find on a standards based open source system. What I found seems much more like the philosophy emanating in Redmond.
I hope there is some simple explanation that I've failed to recognize. Someone please enlighten me.
