    can't play DVDs

I have a fresh install of 8.04.1. I have libdvdcss2 installed (from the mediabuntu repository), and libdvdread3, and libdvdnav4. Still, when I insert an encrypted DVD, I get a message from Kaffeine that libdvdcss needs to be installed, and that the file /usr/share/doc/kaffeine/install-css.sh needs to run (which I have, successfully).

What do I need to do?

    Re: can't play DVDs

Hm, I experienced the same behaviour under Kubuntu :P and used VLC player as a workaround.

      SOLVED!!!

With xine-ui installed, kaffeine can play DVDs!

      I filed a bug report.

Does Ubuntu have better QA than Kubuntu? One would think this sort of thing would be checked prior to release.
