    screensaver - slideshow issue

this covers both KDE 4 and KDE 3.5 versions of the slideshow screensaver that comes with KDE.

I have Kubuntu 8.04 on one PC running KDE 3.5, and Kubuntu 8.10 running KDE 4 on my laptop.

I have a folder with around 180 photo's on both PC's. When the screensaver starts it only displays every other photo. The 1st photo is never shown. I have even swapped the 1st and 2nd photos and the new 1st photo is skipped.

    Anyone else seen this?

It does not matter what photo's I use, the result is always the same.
Linux, it does the computer good!

    Re: screensaver - slideshow issue

I don't normally use that screensaver, but I did set up a test with a folder having 7 pictures. Eventually, it showed all seven, but in no discernible order -- even with the Random option turned off. I tried to see if creation date was preferred over modification date, or some alphabetical order, or even size. It just seemed to randomize with sometimes skipping over the next picture -- or not. It may be that with 180 photos it's hard to see the randomizing?

Maybe a bug is in order.
