    Adept killed the networkmanager?

Ok, I run most of my business on a stationary computer, so this doesn't have anything to do with everyone else that are having problems with their wireless networking. Updated the networkmanager last night, and after a restart it seems to be uninstalled.

Tried to install it again with adept and the CD repository, but since I enabled the CD as a third party source adept keeps telling me that ALL the programs are installed (which they are NOT). So now I am unable to install any programs the usual way. Have tried to uninstall and install, but adept is not keen on cooperating...

I have no idea where to go from here. Any suggestions?

Have you tried it from the command line via apt-get?

It would be something along the line of
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install network-manager
    To uninstall you would use:
    Code:
    sudo apt-get remove network-manager
    Or even:
    Code:
    sudo apt-get purge network-manager
Another way to get network manager removed is by installing wicd...

      When i try to install network-manager :
E: Package network-manager has no installation candidate
When i try to uninstall it (with either methods):
Package network-manager not installed, so not removed

      Gah...

Ok, have played around with aptitude for a while. It seems like I can't install anything... Does it use different repositories per chance?
