Does anyone know of astrology programs (for chart calculation/interpretation, etc.) under kubuntu Linux - especially free ones?
I have astrolog working from the command prompt, but it is text only.
kastrolog appeared to be just what I was looking for.
I got it from
http://www.paganlink.org/library/ast...kastrolog.html
and converted it from rpm to deb with alien. It installed, but couldn't find a library it needed to run (lib.qt.so.1).
I extracted that from ASPLinux qt1x-1.45-16.i386.rpm from
http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/se...ery=libqt.so.1
and tried putting it in /usr/local/lib/qt and in /usr/lib/qt , but kastrolog still couldn't find it. So I don't know where to put it and I don't know if it will just try to link to other things that aren't there once it is found.
Next, I got the source tarball.
I tried to compile it, but got the usual slew of errors.
I installed a few additional "dev" packages and worked with the make files a bit and got it to find most of the header files it was looking for, but not enough to get it to finish the install.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Also, if there is a more appropriate place to post this, let e know.
Thanks.
Joe
