    HH 8.04.

The aptitude update today had apt being upated. It went uneventfully, although autoclean did not remove anything.

A couply of hours later, the final response from a repeat of sudo aptitude update was

    Hit http://packages.medibuntu.org hardy/non-free Packages [7814B]
    Reading package lists... Done
W: Bizarre Error - File size is not what the server reported 0 7814
W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems

However higher up in the furious scrolling had mediubuntu with two packages

I will sudo shutdown -h and then bring back up to see if that does anything.

    uname -a yields

    Linux raunes 2.6.24-21-generic #1 SMP Tue Oct 21 23:09:30 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux

medibuntu has been slow for me lately but there was the amarok buf fix.

(No, I am not doing any dist-upgrades today or tomorrow)

    peace, Mark

I think there was some problem recently with the medibuntu repos -- like a server broke or something. You may want to see if the passage of a few days "fixes" the problem before doing anything more about it.
