Flash Composite Extensions?

I can't see the webcam for our local lake. Get the page and all but no webcam pic etc so I looked.....

In the KDE Help FAQ #9 'web browsing with konqueror' #9.1.3 it says in part, "..latest versions of X.org having composit extensions loaded can cause problems...disable the comp ext...

What are they? Where? How?
