An annoying little message box pops up when I start almost any program (for example: dolphin or even just the kde panel). It says Sorry - and below: Could not find mime type application/octet stream. It goes away when I click OK or press space but can come back several times in a row, as for instance with the panel. I don't know how to stop it from appearing. I' m running Kubuntu Hardy 8.04 on an Acer 2920 notebook. The Acer has worked fine for the 3 months I've had it. My only problem with it is sound. It turns off at times and I have to briefly visit Windows where it comes on automatically.
