Is it safe to remove these packages ?

    Is it safe to remove these packages ?

    I decided that i don't need the desktop search so i uninstalled kerry and beagle - desktop search.

    now when i run
    Code:
    apt-get autoremove
    i get a long list of packages that are no longer needed:

    Is it safe to remove them ? are they all part of the desktop search that i installed in the past ?

    It's generally safe to remove packages suggested by autoremove (These are packages that were installed as dependencies for a package that is no longer installed). Can't tell for sure if all those packages are dependencies for beagle, but at least most of them are (and in that case the rest are dependencies for some other uninstalled packages).
