Firefox 3 and Always Remember Password

I get the error message "Always Remember Password" will not be installed because it does not provide secure updates" when trying to install this essential plugin. I need this plugin, I dont even plan on updating it, I just want this version.

(This applies to FF in Gnome and KDE)

download the xpi file manually - rename to .zip open 'er up or unzip, edit install.rdf or whatever and remove the update url, re-zip up - rename .zip to .xpi - in ur browser ctrl+o, find the file and install..

here is the XPI I made with the update URL removed.

It installed, but it doesn't ask me to remember password when I sign into yahoo mail.
