    Video Resolution Changes

I am running Kubuntu 64 bit (Hardy Heron).

I set the video to 1280x1024 initially but the display keeps switching back to 640x480 with every reboot with no option to increase it to a higher level in Control Panel or System Settings.

I have a copy of xorg.conf I have saved as a backup and have to manually replace xorg.conf after each bootup using the backup.

    This is becoming so tedious.

All my updates are current and I do not use testing releases so I have no idea what is going on or what I should do.

    Any suggestions welcome.
