I have noticed that sometimes my Kubuntu install is a memory hog. When this post was made, Kubuntu was using 1,892,544kb of ram with only about 173,700kb free. There are 125 processes occuring. Now, I have no idea why this is happening. My Vista install is usually only about 900,000kb while running about 80 processes. Is there an explanation why this is happening? Any processes that aren't needed and shouldn't be running?

Ah, I had forgotten about that information... I think I had read that somewhere before, then over time forgot about it. I've been on linux for 3 months now...although sometimes it's not running as high...
And I'll try out that program.Sony Vaio VGN NR260E
Linux Kubuntu 9.04\Windoze 7 Professional

Sony Vaio VPCF1190X
Linux Kubuntu 10.04/Windoze 7 Home Premium

Linux user #478627
