    Kernel upgrade?

On my old laptop I now boot into kernel 2.6.24-21 generic.
Onone of my (also old) "desktop" PCs I see that I boot into 2.6.24-19

Question: Is this as it should be? Something special for the laptop, for instance the wireless network card does not apply for the "desktop" connectin to the network by LAN cable?

    Re: Kernel upgrade?

I've just had a look at Kcontrol, and it tells me that i'm currently running KDE version 3.5.10, release 2.6.24-21-generic.

This may be a foolish question, but have you enabled both the proposed and unsupported updates on both of your machines?
