i had a (gasp) crash last week. Firefox3 froze my whole computer it seems. Now, all of a sudden, everything is ugly. it looks like windows 3.1 when you see the tabs. This is not limited to FF3. it seems as though it is on the OS level. total guess here, but maybe QT4 isn't being used?

You can see how the dropdown is treated in FF3 (attached) and the tabs. The window decorator is just fine, so compiz-fusion is AOK. I have not noticed any other problems outside of the sudden ugliness.

I went into the Appearance section and put everything to default. that didn't change anything.

This happened to me right after I installed the latest upgrade for the gtk-qt-engine package.

Firefox 3 and Evolution Mail (and I assume all other GTK apps) stopped having my KDE style applied to them. They still had my color scheme, but not the button or icon styles. Even in KDE4 they look ugly.

So I'm guessing something broke there. The GTK Style option exists in KDE4, but not KDE3 Even with the GTK options in KDE4, Firefox 3 doesn't seem to be grabbing the native icons anymore, instead going for the ugly GTK defaults.
