    Can't install or update/upgrade

    0% [Connecting to be.archive.ubuntu.com (195.238.1.5)]

    Since recently I can't get past this line during installation or updating, in synaptic (i don't use adept) I have the same result

    EDIT: I'm using kubuntu 8.04 with KDE4

    This is the result when I want to install Krusader.

    Can somebody help me with solving this problem, I do not have a clue what could have gone wrong

    Just a guess but I think your http://be.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/ may be down.

    Try opening up /etc/apt/sources.list as root (kdesudo kate) and changing be to ch.

    Are you using HH with kde3.5 / kde4 or HH remix?

      Or change be to fr or nl, depending whether you have the dutch or french version installed.

        I changed it to ch, and opendthe backports while i was there
        Altough I speak Dutch, I'm using the English version :d

        Are you using HH with kde3.5 / kde4 or HH remix?

        What is HH?

        I removed kdm and installed kdm-kde4
