Hello,
Today my adept notifier showed there were ~30 updated available. I thought "good news!! fixes and updates!!", but I am hesitant to install everything. It shows quite a few packages as marked for removal, like: kcontrol, kicker, konqueror or ksysguard (there are others). I am using KDE 4.1 but still have 3.5.x installed and available to switch to the old one when things go wrong (this is the computer I use for daily work so when anything goes wrong, I just fall to backup plans and wait until I have to solve them -- on weekends if lucky).
Do you know why are these packages going to be removed? Did I screw up some dependency so I asked myself to remove them?
If not, is it safe to remove those packages? Would I be able to still use KDE 3.5?
Thanks! Hernan.
