Yakuake and Konsole freeze every time, on KDE4.0

I installed Kubuntu with KDE4.0 yesterday. However, after I tried to config fcitx and openafs, I got problems in yakuake and konsole. Everytime I press F12 to invoke yakuake, it just freezes there for a while, about 30 sec. The same happens with Konsole. But, when I switch to Ctrl-Alt-F1, it is just fine, no problem at all.

I am quite confused. Someone can point out how to diagnose or what might be the problem please? Thank you.

It may have been solved. I used LC_TYPE as "zh_CN.utf8", while this locale was not correctly generated... After changing this in /etc/default/locale, yakuake doesn't freeze.. I don't know whether there are relationships between these two things... Still confused, waiting for a better answer.
