I am running Kubuntu 8.04. I have installed Eclipse and CDT using Adept. Adept installed Eclipse in usr/lib/eclipse. I want to install the Qt Eclipse Integration plugin. I have downloaded the tar file from the Trolltech site. The site directs you to extract the tar file into the usr/lib folder. This seems straight forward as the tar file contains plugin and features folders and the contents of these need to be copied into the relevant folders in usr/lib/eclipse.
Problem is: access is denied to the usr/lib/eclipse folder. I have tried simply copying any file to this folder and access is denied. I am not experienced with linux or Kubuntu. Does Adept cause this restriction? How can I get write access to this folder? I have looked for the Qt Eclipse Integration plugin in Adept with no luck.
I am the only user and should have all write privileges.
