Intrepid is getting better, week by week. The nice thing about it is that it comes with KDE 4.1 only, so you don't have to wonder how much of KDE 3.5.9 is still hanging around influencing things.
If you have 10GB of hard drive space, and can live with an occasional "ooops", go ahead and install Intrepid Ibex and have a little fun with it. Compiz, FireFox 3, VMware, and other things run on it -- there's no Medibuntu repo for it, yet, of course. Here's a shot of mine from a week ago:
