    KDE 4.1 Akregator column setup

    akregator-kde4 4:4.1.0-0ubuntu1~hardy1~ppa2

Right click on the columns in the article pane to bring up the column set up box. This box is horribly broken. Clicking on the entries behaves unpredictably. While it is up nothing outside it can be interacted with. Dismissing it is hard and apparently involves lots of random clicking.

The same box in ktorrent on KDE 4.1 seems to work as expected, so it seems to be an Akregator problem.

Speaking of which, ktorrent has an importer for kde3 data. Akregator doesn't, but would benefit from one.

Yea, I notised same. If you will fill bugs in bugs.kde.org please give a link, I will vote for that.

I found that aggregator ant korgonizer doesn't remember toolbars possition. If you want to vote for that bug please go https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=166984

In Akregator you can export your feeds to a file and then import them into the newer version. It's not a perfect solution but it gets the bulk of the job done for you.

This bug is already on bugs.kde.org - I should have searched for "column" as well as "columns" before.

In fact, it works, but gazillions of context menus are created when you right click (you can see that the shadow is very strong because of that).

So ... the workaround for me is to right click, uncheck the column I don't want, and click as many time in a an empty space as needed to close all opened context menus.

Another problem is that columns showed state and size are not saved, you have to set up everything again on each akregator start.

There's a feeds.opml file in ~/.kde/share/apps/akregator/data so maybe I could have just imported that.
