Widget kde 4.1 doesn't load

Hello everyone,

I run Kubuntu 8.04 remix and I've recently upgraded to the kde 4.1 version.

I like to use the widgets, but I encounter the following problems:

1, I install a comic widget , but the comic widget remains black after a restart. Same is for the weather widget / radar

2. I've installed a few mac widgets, but I can't configure them. As there is a widget for Starry Night but it is configured for San Francisco, I would like to change it (as I live in the Netherlands).

Can anyone help me?

Make sure you have this package installed -- kdeplasma-addons.

I've indeed installed that package (saw it on another forum...), but still no luck

I've got the same problem. Fuzzy clock is also affected.. as are a bunch of other applets.

You may need to also uninstall the old applets package (was it extragear-plasma?). The old applets mostly don't work any longer. So you may have two competing sets installed.

That also didn't work for me

I ve downgraded to 3.5.9, so I just sit back and wait for october...
